I have several things to pack into today’s post, so let’s get started.

First, I want to invite those of you in the north Georgia, western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee to a book signing that my church, FBC Blairsville, is hosting for me this Sunday afternoon, December 19th. Copies of my Bible study, From the Trash Pile to the Treasure Chest: Creating a Godly Legacy will be available for purchase for $14 each. It would be my honor to personalize it for you, should you desire. The signing will be in the Fellowship Hall at FBC Blairsville from 12:30pm until 2:30pm.

I am offering a special on the study book during the months of December and January for small group Bible study leaders. If you buy 10 copies, I will give you one free. I hope this will allow you to decrease the cost of the books for your ladies or offer one free to a lady who might not be able to afford it.

As I shared previously, beginning in January, I will be leading two study groups through my Bible study. The first will be an online study group which will begin right here at The Point on January 6th. Go here for more info on that.  The other will be an in-person study group which will meet on Thursday evenings beginning January 13th at 6:30pm. I am still unsure of the location. I would love to have it at my home, but it will depend on how many sign up. The alternative site would be at FBC Blairsville. If you are interested in either group, please be sure and let me know either via a comment on this blog or an email.

Second, our church (FBC Blairsville) will be the venue for a Candlelight Christmas Eve Celebration hosted by the ladies of FBC. We are planning a very simple service that focuses on Jesus, Jesus, and only Jesus. It will begin at 7pm in the Rock Chapel on Christmas Eve and the dress is casual. We welcome all who desire to worship our Lord to come.

Finally, we have come to our last verse for Challenge 2010 Scripture Memorization. What a wonderful journey this has been! I am profoundly grateful to those of you who took this journey with me. I cannot express to you what an encouragement you have been to me each week as you have offered up the verses that you were working on. Thank you!! Thank you!!

I will not be hosting a Scripture memorization challenge in 2011. Beth Moore is hosting one in 2011 over at her Living Proof Ministries Blog and I’m certain most of you will want to hop over and join us there. In addition, she is offering the cutest spiral index card thingy that you can record your 2011 verses in. Check it out!

I hope you were blessed by the Challenge. I know that any of the Word that you hid in your heart had impact. Blessings to you, my friends.

Here is my 24th verse:

Psalm 139: 24 (NIV)
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
I hope that you will not be a stranger here at The Point simply because Challenge 2010 is complete. I love to have company at The Point and welcome you to stop by and browse any time.

Christmas Blessings to you!
