Hey ya’ll, just popping in before the weekend to tell you a few things that are not urgent, but it seemed like a good time.
First, did you know you can get The Point sent directly to your email? Yes, that is right. You can get my posts without ever having to come to this site. Now, I really love for you to come to visit me here at my home in the world wide web, but some people just don’t have time to go surfing around looking for me. So, I want to tell you how to sign up with Feedburner to get my posts delivered right to your email inbox.
Do you see the box over to the right and down just a bit that says, “subscribe via email”. That’s it! Type your email address into that box and click “subscribe”. Another box will pop up asking you to type in a crazy looking set of letters/numbers to verify you are not a spammer. Once you type in those letters/numbers and click the button to accept them, you are almost finished. You will receive an email in your inbox from Feedburner asking you to click on a link that will activate your subscription. Once you do that, you are good to go. You will automatically get any post I put up in your email inbox. Cool, huh?
Second thing I wanted you to know is that FINALLY God has said “Go” to writing another Bible study. Yes!!!!!! I was wondering if I would ever get the ‘fever’ to write a major study again. I doubt this one will be published in traditional book form because of the enormous costs involved. I’m thinking I will probably make this one available in an e-book format which costs significantly less to produce.
Bet you are wondering what this study will be about, huh? Ok, I’ll tell you a little bit about it. It is a study of the book of Hebrews. I know, I know–that is a major task. Hebrews is a deep book and I’m praying the Lord will give me the words and creativity to make studying Hebrews, well, fun!! My working title is He-brews: A Better Blend. Coffee and Bible study go together like peanut butter and jelly, so there are lots of coffee references in the study. In fact, I’m going to include coffee suggestions, along with some yummy recipes for coffee cakes and desserts. Yay!!! Food is always good! Please pray for me as I write. I have no deadline so I will write as the Lord speaks. I’m hoping to have it ready in draft form for my Tuesday group to do in January. That is pretty ambitious, so we will see.
I’m currently looking for people who have done my Bible study, From the Trash Pile to the Treasure Chest: Creating A Godly Legacy, who would be willing to write a review of the study for Amazon.com. It doesn’t have to be long and wordy reviews. I’m just looking for a few folks to put in a word about the study. Obviously I’d love a ‘good’ word about the study, but that is between you and God. If you are interested and willing, simply go to the website ( Amazon.com ) where my study is sold and look for the ‘reviews’ section. You can click a link and leave a review. I’m so grateful to you.
Are you having a retreat, Christmas tea, luncheon, or other event? I’d love to come speak to your group about the importance of leaving a godly legacy for the generations that come behind. I have years of speaking experience in the secular world, as well as in ministry. I’m a CLASS certified speaker. I LOVE talking about what Jesus has done in my life and what He wants to do in the lives of those who invite Him in. Hop over to my speaking page and check out what is there.
HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND, FRIENDS!!
THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR FAITHFUL ENCOURAGEMENT OF MY MINISTRY! YOU ARE THE BEST!
