I had such a fun day yesterday!! I took my soon-to-be 8 year old nephew to Atlanta shopping for his birthday present from my husband and me. I told him that he could buy anything he wanted with his money and here is a picture of what he chose. A first baseman’s glove and a Braves jersey with the name of the first base player on the back. He was too cool!! He walked through the Mall of Georgia catching air-balls for over an hour while I shopped for a few things I needed. As soon as we got to the car, he wanted to put his jersey on. I took this picture to show his mom and dad his new gifts. It was a blast!! He is such a smart and funny kid!! He loves Jesus with all his heart!!
As I looked at him with that jersey on I thought about how kids look up to these major league players and what an awesome responsibility it is to be role models for others. I don’t know anything about the first baseman for the Braves, but I hope he is a good role model.
We are all role models. Someone is watching you every day!! Someone is watching me every day!! Are you being a good role model? Do others see Christ when they look at you?
