Leah Adams… Tasting Grace

Tasting Grace is a mentoring in the kitchen ministry.

While many women learned to cook and do life by being in the kitchen with their moms and grandmas, there are just as many girls and women who have never had this wonderful experience. The Lord appointed Tasting Grace as a portion of my ministry in early 2015 after seeing my friend, Jan, doing the same ministry at her church.

I love to cook. I love mentoring women. It was a natural fit.

A few times a quarter I plan a menu, toss out an invite, and welcome a handful of ladies, young and not-so-young, into my home. We have a short devotional time, then we move into the kitchen. Over the course of the next hour or two, I teach the ladies to make a homemade dish or two. Homemade biscuits, chicken noodle soup, cornbread, chicken and dumplings, cobblers, cakes, vegetables, and so much else finds its way to the menu. It is a sweet time of cooking and fellowship.

The best part of a Tasting Grace event is, of course, the TASTING. Once the food is prepped and cooked, we sit and enjoy the fruit of our labor. It gets mighty quiet around the table, except for the oohs and aahs and the that is so good when we start eating. I try to make sure that we prepare enough food so each lady can take home at least a taste or two to share with family or friends.

Tasting Grace is truly a fun and meaningful time for all involved. See pictures from a few of our sessions below.

Tasting Grace

The Zoom

Homemade Biscuit Event

Would you like to learn how to make biscuits like this?

Come join me for the Zoom Homemade Biscuit Event!

The first Tasting Grace Virtual Biscuit Making Event was held in July and there were about 25 women who learned to make homemade biscuits. Let’s do it again.

Come join me on Saturday morning, September 26th at 11am EST/10am CST/9am MST/8am PST. (Sorry, West Coast friends.)

Through the miracle of modern technology, I will be using Zoom Video Conferencing to step into the kitchens of up to 100 women (or men if they are interested) and share my step by step recipe for making tall, fluffy, and oh-so-delicious Southern Buttermilk Biscuits. And what will be so much fun is that YOU will make a batch of them alongside me right in your kitchen!!
