If you haven’t read my “What Are You Learning” post from 1/3/09, please be sure to scroll down and read that. The story I shared has seemed to touch several hearts!

I thought I’d share a few pictures from our 8th Annual Beans ‘N Greens luncheon. It is always soooo much work, but sooooooooo much fun. This year we fed 47 people, which is fewer than in the past years.

Don’t you love the very fashionable red apron? As I look at these pictures I am kicking myself for wearing the stinkin’ thing the whole day!! Oh and don’t miss the lovely blue trash can that fits so well with my decor. I wimped out and used plastic plates, cups and utensils. It cuts my cleanup time by 75% over using all my Christmas china.

My man (standing) visiting with some of our guests as they enjoy Beans ‘N Greens! Most of these folks are regulars at our New Years Day lunch and they look forward to it all year. Many have said that my collard greens are the best they’ve ever tasted. They are pretty darned good if I do say so myself. I’ve had people eat them and like them who don’t like collard greens!!

My pastor, my mom, my dear friend, Joy, and me.

Greg visiting with Dr. P and Joan. I’m visiting with our friend Elmer.

Greg and me with my nephews, Parker and Coleson and their autographed Georgia t-shirts!! Thanks, Andrew!!

Me visiting with our pastor and his family. Dr. Lodge, Valeria and their son Jonathon, his wife Deanna and their little Ethan.

My brother-in-law, Robert and Parker visiting with Jan and Johnny, Telida, Jenna, Jillian and Ashley.

Terry and Channy P. and Angie. Terry was intently watching the GA game, although he is one of those Florida fans!!

Greg, Cindy (Life is Good)and me. Cindy’s husband, Robert is talking to Greg.
My sister-in-law, Angie and her husband, Steve. She is Greg’s sister.
Ok, I’ve bored you enough with our festivities. You are invited to join us next year!!
