Let me tell you, these chicken ‘n dumplings are the “from scratch” kind of comfort food that I love. This afternoon I stewed my chicken and I just finished pulling it off the bone. That chicken is so tender and juicy and the broth is big-time rich. I cannot wait to drop those homemade dumplings into that pot tomorrow morning and smell the richness of them cooking. Here is a picture of my chicken and broth sitting in my grandmother’s pot that she used for chicken ‘n dumplings.

I’ll pop it in the fridge until morning. Then in the morning I’ll make the dumplings and cook it and let it sit and thicken up until lunch time. Oh my goodness, I can taste them now. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I’ll post more pictures tomorrow.

Here’s the first batch of dough all rolled out and ready be cut and put in the pot. I even use my Grandmother’s rolling pin. The “finished” product pixs will be up soon.

Here is the finished product. They will sit and thicken until lunch. Oh my goodness, I’m not sure I can wait!!
