I am SOOOOOOOOOO excited to be leading my very own study, From the Trash Pile to the Treasure Chest: Creating a Godly Legacy, online. This online group will be the first group to go through the study since its publication and I cannot wait to study the Word with you. Your feedback will be very important to me as I begin to lead an IRL (In Real Life) group on January 13th, so don’t hold back on your discussion.
Here is how this group will work:
- We will begin on Thursday, January 6th.
- You need to have purchased one of the study books by January 6th so you can begin with the rest of the group. You can purchase that from me, Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, or Crossbooks.com.
- On January 6th I will post a video blog here at The Point where I give a bit of background and offer some info and discussion questions for the group to ponder during the coming week.
- You begin your homework at that point. There are 5 days of homework each week.
- In order to make this work well, you will need to be prepared to utilize the ‘comments’ section of my blog to respond to the questions and pose any questions or thoughts of your own concerning anything I said on the video or anything that comes up during your study of the material that week. You can post comments using the ‘anonymous’ option, but it would be nice if everyone had a Blogger ID.
- Getting a Blogger ID is easy and does not require you to have a blog. A Blogger ID is obtained by going to Google.com and creating an account. You will be asked for an ID and password, both of which become your Blogger ID and password.
- Alternatively, I will accept comments/thoughts via email or FB private message, but know that I will copy and paste them over to the blog comments section so that everyone can be part of the discussion.
- Each Thursday I will post another video where I offer some brief thoughts about the homework you have completed the previous week, as well as more questions/thoughts for discussion in the upcoming week.
It really is very easy and a great way to be able to do a study in the comfort of your home and at your own pace. You can access the video at any time after it is posted, therefore, not all of us will be online at the same time. Even if you do not get your book in time to begin January 6th, you can still jump in at any time and join the study. Encourage your friends to join us!!!
