Hello there! It’s Friday and that means another edition of Getting To Know You. This is a time where those of us who hang around my website share fun facts about ourselves in an effort to build community. I hope you have enjoyed these posts as much as I have. Today’s Getting to Know You question pertains to your home. Ready?
What is your favorite room/place in your house and why?
My favorite place in our home is our basement. When we moved back to the mountains, we built our basement and lived in it for almost two years so we could assess how well Greg’s dental practice would do before we committed to building the rest of the house. Our basement has a one bedroom apartment and a two car garage. It has a huge kitchen which I love…in fact, I love the downstairs kitchen more than the main one upstairs. The bedroom in totally underground and so quiet that I think if a tornado came through and you were sleeping in that bedroom you would never know it.
I do my Bible study/quiet time in the basement and until May of this year that was where my sweet kitty, K, lived. I also do my canning and ironing in the basement. Pretty much all of the Legacy Bible study was written in the basement and much of the study I am currently writing, HeBrews: A Better Blend, has been written from my hideaway in the basement. My basement is comfy, cozy, and a place I love to be.
